DEADPOOL 2

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is back for one more trailer. In the last trailer, we found out he’s forming the X-Force in order to save a young mutant being hunted by Cable, played by Josh Brolin. With this trailer, we get more of a look at the hiring process of the X-Force which involves Linked In and an open casting call which brings the likes of Domino (Zazie Beetz) and, in a very funny button moment, a guy named Peter with no superpowers who just happened to see the ad, to which Deadpool responds, “you’re in.” We then see Peter falling from the sky with a parachute. I can’t imagine Peter will have a happy ending.

The rest of the trailer is filled with fourth wall breaking, plenty of tongue-in-cheek lines pertaining to other properties, like a Deadpool comment about Cable’s dialogue sounding very dark and perhaps coming from the DC Universe as well as the line “pump the hate brakes, Thanos” in a reference to Josh Brolin also playing the role of the big bad villain in “Avengers: Infinity War.” And if this is just a glimpse of the movie, we can imagine there will be plenty more of these moments throughout. The action looks great, the casting looks impeccable as always, and the jokes are definitely on point, once again showing what a labor of love this particular Marvel franchise is all about.
