20TH CENTURY FOX || Many news outlets are now telling everyone not to count their eggs before they’re hatched, as more information about the Walt Disney-20th Century Fox merger. Apparently Comcast may still be in the bidding war, waiting on the decision of the U.S. Government in relation to AT&T’s potential purchase of Time Warner, which should reach a verdict by June 12. Comcast is apparently set to offer about $8 billion more than Disney. The Fox-Disney deal is waiting approval as well. Read more at: CNN Money.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING || Robert Downey Jr. who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU starred in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017 and it is now being reported that for his 8-10 minute cameo, the star made a whopping $10 million. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT || Last weekend, Netflix released a remixed version of “Arrested Development: Season Four.” That season was a bit confusing as each of the 15 episodes pertained to a single character more or less and the storylines would weave in and out of one another, sometimes repeating each other, but from a different perspective. So the thought of remixing the season in a way that was a little more linear was a no-brainer. However, now the cast, including Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, and David Cross, are asking for money because they were paid on a per episode basis and now the remixed series runs 22 episodes. The studio argues that they are allowed to recut the seasons however they see fit, without offering additional compensation. The cast seems a little bit too money-grabby for me and I wonder how this could potentially hurt the upcoming Season Five, whose trailer dropped yesterday. Read more at: Collider.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. || In an interesting article from Screen Rant, they discuss how a surprise plot point in Season Five has literally rewritten a large portion of the MCU history, suggesting that the motivations behind some of the organizations and villains in the MCU were motivated by the potential threat of the revealed person which also ends up tying the series into “Avengers: Infinity War.”

SANTA CLARITA DIET || Netflix has renewed the series “Santa Clarita Diet” for a Season Three. Starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, the zombie-comedy will return with 10 new half-hour episodes in 2019. Read more at: Hollywood Reporter.
