ANNE V. COATES
December 12, 1925 – May 8, 2018 (age 92)
Cause of Death: Unknown

Best known for her Academy Award winning work on “Lawrence Of Arabia,” editor Anne V. Coates would go on to work with some of the biggest directors in history, including Sidney Lumet on “Murder on the Orient Express” (1974), David Lynch on “The Elephant Man” (1980), and Steven Soderbergh on “Out Of Sight” (1998) and “Erin Brockovich” (2000). I would come to know her work on smaller titles like “Congo” (1995), “Unfaithful” (2002), and “Taking Lives” (2004) as well as her last credited work on “Fifty Shades Of Grey” (2016). A year after that, she would receive an Honorary Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement. Although she will truly be missed, her legacy will live on forever.
