MORGAN FREEMAN || News broke this morning that eight women have stepped forward, accusing Morgan Freeman of inappropriate behavior and misconduct, including a production assistant on the set of “Going In Style” who reported “unwanted touching and comments about her figure and clothing on a near-daily basis.” Read more at: CNN.

HARVEY WEINSTEIN || Also, in the same realm of news, Harvey Weinstein is expected to turn himself in tomorrow in New York for the charges brought against him concerning sexual misconduct. Read more at: CNN.

BOBA FETT || Director James Mangold, most recently known for his work on “Logan,” has officially been tapped to direct the Star Wars spin-off “Boba Fett” that so many fans have been waiting for. Mansgold is said to be writing the script but no word yet when production will begin or when it will be due in theaters. Read more at: The Hollywood Reporter.

BOND 25 || With Daniel Craig already attached for one more appearance as the titular character, “Bond 25” has now landed Universal Pictures as its international distributor while MGM and Annapurna will distribute domestically. Also, rumors have now turned to confirmation of director Danny Boyle stepping in to helm the film which should begin shooting in December of this year. Read more at: Deadline.

SHOW DOGS || The Will Arnett-talking dog movie “Show Dogs” which was released last weekend, will be recut and re-released in theaters following The National Center on Sexual Exploitation speaking out about particular scenes involving the dog’s balls being fondled and how he is coached in a manner that sends “a troubling message that grooms children for sexual abuse.” Read more at: Variety.

MOSES FARROW || In a follow-up the Moses Farrow’s heartfelt essay released yesterday, his siblings, particularly Dylan, to whom the alleged abuse occurred and, Ronan both took to social media to deny their brothers claims, going so far as to call him “troubled.” Read more at: Variety.

DEADPOOL 2 || Here’s an article that highlights the extent of the “Deadpool 2” marketing campaign, including product endorsements and DVD cover cameos. Read more at: The Verge.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN || A poster for the film “Christopher Robin,” starring Ewan McGregor, was dropped today, featuring Winnie The Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore. The film hits theaters August 3rd, 2018.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT || Another follow-up from yesterday, NPR wrote an article about the “Arrested Development” Times interview and how it also go “under their skin” as well, with the addition today that Jason Bateman has publicly apologized for many of his statement. Read more at: NPR.

David Cross would also take to social media to apologize to co-star Jessica Walter, after the blow back from the interview. His stance on not dropping friends after they’re accused of something shitty is admirable, but that doesn’t mean you don’t also stand up for the victim in the situation instead of supporting the aggressor. THE SISTERS BROTHERS || Based on Patrick Dewitt’s acclaimed novel of the same name, follows two brothers – Eli and Charlie Sisters – who are hired to kill a prospector who has stolen from their boss. The story, a genre-hybrid with comedic elements, takes place in Oregon in 1851. The film is Jacques Audiard’s follow-up to his Palme D’Or Winning DHEEPAN, which premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, John C. Reilly, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Riz Ahmed, released by Annapurna and due in theaters this Fall.
