AMC THEATRES || The AMC theater chain has officially rolled out their own movie subscription service, despite constantly stating how the high profile Moviepass model was unsustainable. The service is $19.95 a month (which is $10 more a month than Moviepass), allows for seeing three movies in AMC theaters (Moviepass works for one movie a day, everyday, in most theater chains), and allows for IMAX, 3D, and all specialty formats, which Moviepass has yet to make available. Moviepass tweeted a response saying: “AMC has repeatedly disparaged our model as a way to discourage our growth because all along they wanted to launch their own, more expensive plan. We want to make movies more accessible, they want more profit.” Read about the program at: AMC Theatres.
