STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI || A group of disgruntled fans have put out the call for Disney to support their plan to remake “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in attempt to make a version of the highly polarizing film that would appease all fans. They have stated that they have producers and are taking e-mail signatures of people offering their support. Director Rian Johnson even responded to their tweet, saying: “please please please please pleeeeeeeaaaase please actually happen please please please please please” with several prayer hands afterward. THE CONNERS || Rumors about a “Roseanne” spinoff had been circling following the canceling of the show to the inappropriate tweets by star Roseanne Barr, but now they are official as ABC has greenlit the spinoff series with the same exact cast, minus Roseanne. The ABC press release even went so far as to clearly state that: “Roseanne Barr will have no financial or creative involvement in the new series.” Read more at: CNN.

OZARK || Netflix has announced an August 31st drop date for the second season of the Jason Bateman/Laura Linney series “Ozark.” An announcement trailer was dropped earlier today. Also joining the cast this season, but not featured in the trailer, is Janet McTeer. See trailer below:

REPRISAL – OFFICIAL TRAILER #1

REPRISAL || Jacob (Frank Grillo), a bank manager haunted by a violent heist that took the life of a coworker, teams up with his ex-cop neighbor, James (Bruce Willis), to bring down the assailant. While the two men work together to figure out the thief’s next move, Gabriel (Johnathon Schaech), the highly-trained criminal, is one step ahead. When Gabriel kidnaps Jacob’s wife (Olivia Culpo) and daughter, Jacob barrels down a path of bloodshed that initiates an explosive counterattack and brings all three men to the breaking point. The film will be released in theaters and on demand by Lionsgate Premiere on August 31st, 2018.

SKATE KITCHEN – OFFICIAL TRAILER #1

SKATE KITCHEN || In the first narrative feature from The Wolfpack director Crystal Moselle, Camille, an introverted teenage skateboarder (newcomer Rachelle Vinberg) from Long Island, meets and befriends an all-girl, New York City-based skateboarding crew called Skate Kitchen. She falls in with the in-crowd, has a falling-out with her mother, and falls for a mysterious skateboarder guy (Jaden Smith), but a relationship with him proves to be trickier to navigate than a kickflip.

Writer/director Crystal Moselle immersed herself in the lives of the skater girls and worked closely with them, resulting in the film’s authenticity, which combines poetic, atmospheric filmmaking and hypnotic skating sequences. SKATE KITCHEN precisely captures the experience of women in male-dominated spaces and tells a story of a girl who learns the importance of camaraderie and self-discovery. In theaters August 10th.

BLAZE – OFFICIAL TRAILER #1

BLAZE || BLAZE is inspired by the life of Blaze Foley, the unsung songwriting legend of the Texas outlaw music movement that spawned the likes of Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. The film weaves together three different periods of time, braiding re-imagined versions of Blaze’s past, present and future. The different strands explore his love affair with Sybil Rosen; his last, dark night on earth; and the impact of his songs and his death had on his fans, friends, and foes. The braided storyline terminates in a bittersweet ending that acknowledges Blaze’s profound highs and lows, as well as the impressions he made on the people who shared his journey. Directed by Ethan Hawke. In theaters August 17th, 2018.

HOW IT ENDS || As a mysterious apocalypse causes the spread of misinformation and violence, a man and his estranged father-in-law race across a chaotic and fractured country to save his pregnant wife. Starring Theo James, Forest Whitaker and Kat Graham, How It Ends premieres July 13 only on Netflix.
